Welcome to the WiNSys Lab
The WiNSys (Wireless, Networking and Systems) Lab@IIT Madras focuses on tackling key networking challenges faced in developing regions such as India - including intermittent connectivity, limited bandwidth, and dense WiFi deployments. Our research spans enhancing user experience under constrained networks, designing practical and scalable networking solutions, optimizing radio resource management for high-density environments, and developing non-intrusive wireless sensing techniques for next-generation applications. The lab’s work has been recognized internationally, with publications in premier venues such as Ubicomp, IEEE Transactions on Network and Service Management (TNSM), NeurIPS, ICMI, COMSNETS and IFIP Networking.
