Internship

In the winter of 2014, I was a research intern at Microsoft Research India Pvt. Ltd., Bangalore, under the guidance of Dr. Ganesan Ramamlingam, for a period of 15 weeks.
I worked with the memory management team for the project Broom that aims at providing a run-time to manage event-based applications running on distributed clusters connected over LAN.

Projects

• Current project: IMOP, a compiler infrastructure for developing and reusing source-to-source translators and analyzers for OpenMP C programs.
• May Happen in Parallel (MHP) analyzer for OpenMP programs (built on ROSE compiler framework) - term project for Concurrent Programming.
• Data Race Detection using Dynamic Instrumentation of OpenMP programs (built on IMOP compiler framework) - term project for Program Analysis.
• An implementation of a specific cache coherence protocol, called Dragon protocol, on m2s simulator - a project in Parallel Computer Architecture.
• Front end of a compiler for ANSI C - Major (final year) project for BE.
• Human face detection using skin-color based segmentation and sliding-window technique - Minor (third year) project for BE.
