Our department offers internship under the Summer Fellowship Program (SFP) for B.Tech students who have completed their 6th semester.

The SFP is also the platform to apply for internships in the department if you are from CFTIs under the MoUs with NITs, IIITs and other CFTIs.

Students selected for the internship from CFTIs are given an option to do their final year project in our department based on their internship performance, subject to the clauses related to course work requirements under the MoU.

The Department sometimes has positions open in various sponsored projects. Selected candidates will work on R&D projects under a faculty member in the Department. These are open in the levels of Senior Project Officer, Project Officer, and Project Associate. Typical minimum qualifications (and monthly salaries) are as follows:

• Senior Project Officer: Usually Ph.D. in an area relevant to the project (approx Rs. 28,000–30,000).
• Project Officer: Masters degree in engineering or equivalent (approx Rs. 17,000–20,000).
• Project Associate: Bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent (approx Rs. 9,500–14,000).
