Information & Policy for Students
- For non-service courses:
- Never disturb the instructor/teacher about ATTENDANCE or any formalities related to the same, unless asked for, during or even after the course. Always clarify with the course TA on the details.
- Students are expected to avoid proxy – do not request anybody else or yield to the request made by a fellow student. If you find anybody signing for a proxy, please inform the class teacher immediately. No anonymous emails will be entertained in this context. Student caught giving proxy, will be warned, as well as informed of the same to Dean-Ac with cc to HOD/Class committee chairman.
- No request for change of tutorial dates will be entertained or considered 2-3 days before the event, when the same has been decided unanimously in the class and announced in course page + email. Tutorials do not have compensation or makeup.
- You will not be allowed to enter the exam/tutorial hall, if you come more than 30 mins. (45 mins., in case of End sem exam.) late.
- No information will be provided or formalities entertained, two months after grades (applicable also for the even semester, which is followed by a long summer break) have been submitted for the course. Any matter related to the course formalities will be treated as closed.
- Reg. makeup and/or supplementary exams., get appropriate form from the Academic section and fill details with help of TA (who must add a note with the fields given).
- TPA group formation (in case of electives), must be frozen within stipulated deadline. Mutual swaps are applicable, but not after 60 days from the onset of the semester.
- For researchers/interns/final year BTP-DTP-MTP student/project staff:
- For experience certificate, contact CSE or ICSR office (as applicable).
- For "Recommendation" on your technical work done:
- Right to give certificate strictly lies with the guide/supervisor.
- Working in the lab, in any capacity, does not simply justify/entail you to acquire (or demand of) a "certificate of recommendation".
- You have waived right to have access to the certificate (its confidential), in whatever form it may be available.
- Recommendations are generally given to those who have made a substantial (technical) contribution in the lab. Your name should appear at more than one place, in one or more of our following webpages:
- Students/interns etc, are requested to keep the number of requests for recommendations asked to within 4-5 max. only, per year.
